As a middle-aged husband, father of three, and martial artist, I continually find myself contemplating the world we live in, and the role I’m supposed to be playing as a responsible citizen of our ongoing social experiment.  I do this, in part, simply for entertainment’s sake; I find the human condition to be highly engaging.  I’m also motivated by the desire to do the best job I can in all my various roles, as husband, father, and citizen.

As Socrates so succinctly stated, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” Hopefully my rumination will lead to some constructive dialogue, a bit of reflection, or perhaps even help someone else move forward in their personal quest to be a little bit better.  We all can make a difference, and it all starts with ourselves.
